Highlights

The journey from Jiri to Everest Base Camp begins with a vehicle trip from Kathmandu to Jiri (about 8 hours). This walk is known as the 'Classic Everest Trek,' and it allows hikers to acclimate properly to the altitude before going to the stunning Everest viewpoint at Kalapatthar, which is the highest point of the trek at roughly 5,500 meters. You should expect to walk for 5 to 7 hours each day, but there will be plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy the scenery. The trek concludes with a short flight from Lukla Airport to Kathmandu. While traveling through stunning terrain, it's impossible not to think of the ancient mountaineers who carved not just the path to Everest, but also the world-famous trekking trails. Prayer flags and mani stones, set by locals, trekkers, and mountaineers alike as a gift to the mountain, which is locally known as Sagarmatha (Goddess of the Sky) in Nepali and Chomolungma (Mother Goddess of the Universe) in Tibetan, are distributed throughout the pathways.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
